Bedroom Design Tips For Bedroom Color Schemes

I know how much you love experimenting with colors but what puts you down is the thought of getting bored with bright colors in the bedroom. For those of you, who love styling their homes, there are many ways of choosing color schemes for your bedroom, that would never get boring. Colors of your bedroom will have a direct effect on your mood and energy levels.

Cool Color Scheme
If you want your bedroom to have cool color schemes, blue, green, purple and white may be the colors for you. Well, this does not mean that you will paint all the walls of your bedroom with one of these colors. It would definitely trouble your eyes. What you can do is, paint the three walls around your bed with a color that has a mild tone of cream and the wall which backgrounds the bed can be painted in vibrant green, blue or purple. As your back will be facing this wall, the brightness of the wall color will not be stressful to your eyes, yet when you are inside the bedroom you can feel its brightness!

Vibrant Color Scheme
If you are a person who's loud and loves a bling or an appealing element, colors like fuchsia, purple, and red will do wonders for your bedroom. You can use a vibrant printed fuchsia wallpaper on the wall behind your bed and paint the rest of the walls with a pale pink, or a muddy shade of red or a combination of both with a pale pearl white color. You can also use earthy colors like beige, brown and pale cream to add a feel of warmth.

Classic Color Scheme
There are color schemes that look cool, there are color schemes that look hot and vibrant and then there are some color schemes that look classy and never go out of style! One such color scheme is ivory white with a tint of golden or a ebony black and gray color scheme also reflects a classy look. You paint a wall white with small detailing of golden in your furniture and curtains or get your walls painted in alternate white and gray or black and gray. Classic European Style Furniture
Call it a theme or a style of furniture, classic European style of beds, wardrobes and comfort chairs spell elegance and luxury at the same time. Classic European style of furniture goes best with classic color scheme. It may work with vibrant colors too, if the deigning is done well. If you have a classic color scheme, European furniture with a tint of golden will set landmarks in luxury. For example, have your walls painted in white and gray in alternate pattern. Add a gray colored printed wallpaper with golden print on for the wall behind your bed and have a French bed with dark brown side tables and a golden side lamp. Accessorize it with a small couch and a single love-seat made with dark colored wood and golden detailing. Remember that this style would look great in a large sized bedroom. If your bedroom is small in size, this kind of set up would look too stuffed with no space to move around.

Modern Furniture

Grecian urns filled with yarn balls look fantastic and quite interesting and need not cost a fortune too. Here are some tips to lend your bedroom a touch of uniqueness and originality within our budget:

* Add architectural elements to your bedroom to give it a lavish look such as a fireplace mantel.
* Always look out for opportunities to turn your trash and junk into treasure. Old glassware can be used as candleholders, antique cups can be used as votives and blankets can be used as vintage pillows.
* An illustrious wall hanging can take place of a headboard for your bed.
* Feel free to use items in different ways other than their traditional uses for the customized touch.
* Hanging old baskets in the nooks and corners of your bedroom will add style to your bedroom and makes creative space for keeping your magazines and personal care accessories.
* Ornate birdbaths from someone's fountain can easily be turned into a nightstand or a table centerpiece.
* Salvage antique window frames can be turned into artistic mirror frames.
* Search for some of the most advantageous deals in thrift shops, garage sales and yard sales where you can find home accessories, fabrics, sofa sets and even dinner sets and exquisite items in salvage shops that can be terracotta tiles, ornate wrought iron fences, old pillars and claw foot bath tubs that can make your home look like a heritage property.
* Select a theme for your bedroom and only accommodate items that go well with the theme.
* Turn vintage clothing or decorative tablecloths into decorative pillow covers.

Bedroom Interior Designs

● When interior designing your bedrooms, make sure the rooms are cozy and restful in appearance. Avoid bright colors like orange. Bright colors won't induce you to sleep. Neutral, pastel and warm colors are best suited for bedrooms.

● If you are starting your interiors from scratch, you can start by choosing fabrics first and base the color of you wall from it, then you can select furniture that compliments the color of walls and the fabrics that you are going to use.

● Save on expensive wall decor, go through magazines, art books or even your child's art work at school and have the picture framed. Not only will you save, you will have a unique picture that is not found on commercial home decor stores.

● Consider an extra cabinet or storage space inside your bedroom or den, they are areas that usually invite clutter. It is important to always have your room neat and clutter free.

● Use warm flooring on bedroom floors like wood and carpet. Don't use ceramic tiles, marble or granite on bedroom floors. It is not pleasant to get out of bed in the morning and step on a cold floor. If a cold flooring material is already installed, put an area rug beside the bed.

Cozy Bedroom● If you can, use the same fabric, design and color of the bedcovers as with the curtains. The room will have that "Interior Designed" look.

● For bedrooms and specially dens, put an exhaust fan on the ceiling or wall farthest from the window. It will suck-in the cold air outside and keep the air inside the room fresh and cool. This can even save you electricity bills by not using your air conditioner during cool months.
